If you have any Remark project data that you wish to keep, including comments (annotations), you must download them from remark.georgetown.edu by January 25, 2019. After that date, the Georgetown Remark site will no longer be accessible and all Remark data (projects, comments, etc.) on it will have been deleted.
Instructors wishing to continue using Remark for courses can purchase an individual license, which includes the private viewing room feature. Please note that projects created on remark.georgetown.edu cannot be transferred to individual license accounts.
To help Remark users with this transition, we've created a Remark Transition Guide which provides answers to commonly asked questions, including how to download projects from Remark and how to use an alternate tool in place of Remark.
Panopto, Georgetown's new enterprise lecture capture platform, provides faculty the ability to record, upload, and publish videos for their courses. Like Remark, students can create notes and share discussions with other students linked to the video timeline. In addition, Panopto is integrated with the Canvas Learning Management System, allowing you to embed videos in your Canvas course sites.
For questions or assistance with transitioning please email the Center for New Designs in Learning & Scholarship at email@example.com.
